About Me
|
I love to be with people, of any age. I adjust easily. I like to learn about why people succeed, why they give up, why they persist. I am curious about life and what goes on in the world. I want to make a difference. I have not given up on the Philippines because I believe the Filipino can do it if he/she puts his/her mind to it. That’s why I am a trustee of Dilaab – a church-based organization for better citizens who will bring about a better Philippines. (We have come up with “Pwede Pala Pinoy” nationwide) Our current advocacy is clean elections in 2010 by having the best possible candidates in the political arena. A am also a trustee of the Arts Council of Cebu Foundation, Inc. because I strongly believe that art humanizes people and reflects the aspirations and transcendent qualities of a nation. A country without art is a geographic bourne of heartless individuals. |

RCTV Bio
Mayen Angbetic Tan is RCTV's host for the show Healthwise which tackles different health issues. She has been hosting the show for three years already. This is how her career in RCTV started.
One of the highlights of her hosting career in RCTV was when Healthwise had a special episode in Hong Kong. They even flew one lucky viewer there through a promotion they had in partnership with Cebu Pacific.
Mayen enjoys what she is doing because through this, she gets to learn a lot and meet new and interesting personalities in the medical field. She is a believer in what RCTV can do because we serve an unmet need of the Cebuano audience through updates and in-depth coverage of Cebu's happenings, people and places. Should RCTV be nonexistent in our local cable, Cebuanos would be subservient to Manila channels like ABS CBN, GMA and the likes, she adds.
She is also one true Cebuana and is proud to be one. “I am proud of my province because its people have time and again shown that the Cebuano can survive without Manila and can even outshine NCR especially in the business and tourism realms. Yes, Cebu has arrived on its own terms.” And just like being proud to be a Cebuana, she is also proud to be with RCTV because it has established a name as a homegrown enterprise.
